Weihnachten=Christmas #2

Yeah, the second post about Christmas.

Today I gonna introduce to you Christmas tree and Christmas market! (=^_^=)

First we had to buy Christmas tree. Those tree were not well shaped like in Malaysia, because they were real one. In Malaysia were almost all fake one, I believe. =_="
This tree costed 30Euro.

Tree: 'How do I look after being decorated with lights?'

Almost finished with decorations!

Shining in dark!!! Nice??
Typish German nuts cracker. You can open it's mouth and crack the nuts lol.
The smallest cat in house was sleeping near the Christmas tree.

Minou noticed that I approached her!

Then fell asleep again. Haha!
******
Now is Christmas market. I was in Muenster Christmas market for 4 times! First time with Doris, 2nd with host, 3rd with Christine and Monika, 4th with Yao. *o*
Christmas market called Weihnachtsmarkt in German.

All cream inside. I ate the upper, white colour one and threw it away after eating half because it had too many cream!! Very 'zai'.

They were all candles!

Candles, so colourful!

Stars!

hmm...this was a big bun with vanille sauce and cherry. Very tasty indeed but too big for me! I couldn't finish it. ^^"

Me with the shop.

Nice shop!

This shop was only for drinks.
You can find the famous, must drink 'Glühwein' (hot spiced wine) during Christmas here.

Me with Christine. A bit blur but still nice!

Ate this with Yao the 4th time me in Christmas market. And, very tasty!! Under the eggs were fried potatos and the green thing was sour cucumber.

Can you spot me??

The story of Jesus Christ.
Next post about Christmas, all about food. XD

Weihnachten=Christmas #1

I'm glad that I finally have time to blog about my 1st 'real Christmas' celebration.*\(^_^)/*

Ok first and foremost let me teach you some German, Christmas in German is called Weihnachten. If you don't know German, you can pronounce it as 'wai-nak-ten', and remember to pronounce in Malay way.
Second, when you want to wish the others 'Merry Christmas', you say 'Frohe Weihnachten'.

Now I wanna introduce to you---Advent Calendar.

It is a special calendar for Christmas with dates 1st-24th and surprises for 24 days.

What are the surprises?

Chocolate egg with toy inside.

Or with chocolate sweets.

Or with hippo chocolate.

Or with...chocolate. ~.~

So, all surprises in my advent calendar are chocolate.
Of course lah~my advent calendar is from Kinder chocolate company wo~
^^"
Of course not all advent calendar are with chocolate, it depends on how much you pay for it. Normally are with chocolate or sweets, but if you got lovely parents, you might get surprises with anything possible for 24days. *o*

Then, something special in Europe is that they celebrate Nikolaus Tag (St. Nicholas day) on 6th Dec. But my hostfamily always celebrate it on 5th night by Oma Mia(mum from my hostmum).
St. Nicholas is also known as today's Santa Claus. He was known for helping the poor and he died on 6th Dec A.D, so we celebrate this day and receive presents from the adults. However he's actually the real 'gift-giver' in Christian and the 'founder' of present in sock, NOT Santa-Claus-got-a-presents-workshop-in-North-Pole-with-elfs-working-for-him-and-he-came-down-with-a-team-of-reindeer.
It's hard to explain so much here, go here to check out more about St. Nicholas!
St. Nicholas imitated by my host uncle...haha!
He gave presents to the children when they good behaved.
I dunno if he got a special name but I know he scared the children by knowing what bad things they did, so to behave better in future.
It's actually a surprise for me and Doris so that we can experience how the Germans celebrate this day.
It's quite long ago since they imitated the St. Nicolas because they don't have small children anymore in family and they all know it's fake now. So my host did it specially for me this year. Haha! o(≧v≦)o
Of course need to imitate lah~

Mine one was more complete LOL
German snacks. I must miss them when I go back to Malaysia.
〒︿〒
Not many photos with my hostdad in. So need 珍惜! =D
He's holding a big fireplace tool, that's what we pointing to. XD
The presents were all chocolates and sweets.
The real presents come 24th night. Cant wait. XD
And 2nd post about Christmas is coming soon. <( ̄︶ ̄)/

ManYangascar - Escape 2 London

'' I like to move it move it~ He likes to move it move it~ She likes to move it move it~
You like to~MOVE IT! ''

oh yeah~
I moved it~
...
but not to Africa...
was to London!!!
=D
Airport Weeze, Germany

Yes, RYANAIR, the lousy airline!
:X

Oh yeah~my hostmum!
damn love her...I didn't have to pay one cent for this trip!
<333>

arrived in London...
Look Right!!
Look Left!!
lol actually this is really convenient for tourists. Like me, I was confused by the traffic after living 10months in Germany which people drive at the right side of the road and obey every single traffic instruation. In London, they drive at the left side of the road and they don't obey every single traffic instruation! London people cross the road according to the CAR, not the green light!
(Say YEAH!!This is so like Malaysia!!XD)
Liverpool Street (ntg to do with football, k?)

oh do you notice something very huge??
...
Yeah, St Paul's Cathedral.

The place that was used for the marriage of Prince Charles and Lady Diana.

The entrance for St Paul's Cathedral.

View of St Paul's Cathedral from far away. Gorgeous?

Night view of London.
If you look carefully, you can see the famous Tower Bridge of London.

We went into some musuems...
What good with the musuems in London is that
it's entry free.
Giant spider. Cool huh?

Dinosaur.
This place is cool! Full of graffiti...the haven for breakdancers and skaters.

Spotted the famous London Eye!

London Eye with the Big Ben

Nice nice nice~

The Big Ben.
Big Ben actually is the name of the largest bell in the tower. The original name of this tower is the Clock Tower, tower for the Palace of Westminster.

Palace of Westminster is also known as the Houses of Parliament of England.

Had dinner in Pizza Express, which you can spot them like in every street.
My pizza which costed about 8£.
Sorry I forgot the long & complicated name of this wonderful piece of pizza. ^^"
If you can't help yourself from coverting it to Malysia Ringgit, ya, about RM56.
Then you'll say: ''A PIZZA for RM56??!!*&%#%^&#....."

Anyway, I read it in the menu that this pizza was created by a very famous No.1 cook in Europe something like that...so it tasted good literally! XD
Hostsis's. Mozzarella with mushroom. -.-''
I wonder how many years will make her change her pizza option. Come London to eat the food that can be easily found in every pizza shop in Germany?Sad.

Next day...
Sightseeing tour. Oh bloody expensive---24Pounds.
Caution: Sightseeing tour I had in Brussels, Belgium was only 13Euros.

It's also for 48 hours but I think what make this one in London more expensive is boat ride inclusive, which was N/A in Brussels.

No nonsense, let's start the tour!
Starbucks Coffee, you can see it like in EVERY street.
-.-

Very gorgeous Trafalgar Square.
The largest building you can see is the National Gallery.

Recognise the lions? Very famous indeed.

When we reached the river, we left the bus so to take the boat tour and before that...
...we had waffels. Mine was with maple syrup, too bad not honey. ;(

With the Big Ben :)
oh yeah~with my host~
=D

London eye again

St Paul's Cathedral during the day.

Only some nice building.
Battleship which is nowadays opened for visiting.
oh la la~London Bridge which is nothing so special.

A lot of people recognise Tower Bridge as London Bridge.
And this is the famous Tower Bridge.

Me with Tower Bridge.

An outdoor ice skating place.

blehh I can't skate!!Given up edi...T.T

The famous, must-try Londoner Fish & Chips.
I heard that it's very tasty, but for me was nothing so special. Dunno if I didn't find the right one or what...

Again! London Eye! With some plants around is prettier. ;)

Westminster Abbey

finally...
Buckingham Palace!!

Victoria Monument

See the Great Britain flag? That meant the queen was at home, or, in London.

In front of Buckingham Palace. Walk straight and you can see the gorgeous Trafalgar Square with lions & National Gallery.

Only some photos with me inside lol

Finally found You outside the palace of Prince Charles!
When I was wondering how could people take photos with You and then i found You!haha!

Actually I wonder how's their feeling. Everyday, countless of tourists from all around the world take photos with them. @.@
Could they easily find pictures with them inside just clicking Google search machine?
@.@''

HAHA Malaysia flag! Outside the house, or, mansion of Royal community.

Only in London you can find this type of Taxi, and also, so many Taxi lining together. There were 5 Taxi there.

Of course, double decker! These are the modern one.

The old one. Quite rare nowadays, if seen, for touristic purpose only.

Only some stupid pose. ^^"

Never let the others spoil your nice picture!

Can you recognise this??

Yeah, Londoner public telephone.
You thought that telephone booth so yeng?
It stinked inside! Probably some drunkies went in and pissed.Boah~@.@
Yo~Malaysian food!! Too bad I didn't have the time to try =(
While walking to the shopping street...

Ya, Oxford Street. Ntg to do with the Uni k?

Then we walked into this toy shop, which said to be the finest toy shop in the world.
Ya the quality of those toys are good, but expensive ya know?
A teddy bear not bigger than your palm costs 10Pounds.
Okay must convert to Malaysia Ringgit again, RM70!! $.$''
haha full of people...
...but sorry I won't waste my money on these things!
Only in London you can see so many double deckers lining together. I had seen 5 of them together lol

Nice that I went to London when the Christmas decorations started putting up!

Bye bye Oxford Street! I'll miss you!
Then, we continued our journey to visit Harry Potter, my favourite!!We took the underground JUST to get to King's Cross Station, JUST to see the Platform 9&3/4, which later I thought it's totally stupid and so paiseh to waste my host's money although my host said it's ok and kept laughing at the results =.=''
When you're using the underground, please remain standing on the right side. This is because the left side is for those people who need to rush.

Only in London I saw people so obedient and stood on the right side.
We always know this rule but seem never applied to it.

p.s: I blocked somebody there so I was careful afterwards.XD
finally...we found the ''super nice'' Harry Potter's thingy!!
NICE??????????
Totally not!!!
It's located in a very dark corner of the train station and it's only...like that??!!
Actually it's not so bad one, but we paid the train ticket just to see this, it was totally not worth lo...
...but...if I didn't see it...I'll regret too!!
All because I'm Harry Potter's fans!!
*sienz*
Anyway, photo was a must after wasting time and money to find this stupid platform!!!
XD
Famous King's Cross Station. Disappointed me too.
So far, the train station in Berlin is the best!
Ok..until here the trip can be counted as an end...
Back to Germany...the airplane landed very badly...ya know why??
Dang Dang---Snowing!!!!!
Very nice to see snow...but also very dangerous for airplane landing lah...

Joy!!!!Snow!!!!

Goodbye Airport Weeze, goodbye my London trip.
But I must say, it's a nice weekend escape!!!
School is just too boring...-.-
Anyway, the moment I arrive in London I already knew that I must miss London very much afterwards...maybe because it gave me a feeling of home---Malaysia...
So, really, I miss London for more than 1 week!!!
XD
